Interventional Radiography is a rapidly evolving speciality of radiology with specialist radiographers performing critical real time imaging whilst working with interventional radiologists treating patients. The past few years have seen specialist interventional radiographers extending their practice by successfully training to perform interventional procedures too – a crucial role development to aid the interventional radiology workforce and keep up with the increasing expanding service demands.

This Pg Cert Interventional Radiography at LSBU is the first Pg Cert of its kind in the UK and will provide enhanced training to all healthcare professionals working within interventional radiology or those looking to extend their practice.

By the end of this course participants will have an enhanced understanding and knowledge of key theory working within interventional radiography or have developed a portfolio of evidence demonstrating competency performing interventional procedures.

Students will be taught by experience lecturers and practicing specialists within the field.
